Yesterday was different from today
Why was that
I do not know
The sun shone
It did not snow
To the rapture
Loud hailers
Today is a new day
This do I care
Ships creeked
As the wind blew
Deep within its hull
Lend a hand
As it drifts towards
The sinking sand
Light heartily
Echo rises
With pause
And light surprises
Disbelief is not the answer
Just you wait
From now till midnight

Stepping Out

This time is no different from the last
Shake off the past
From now till half past
Shook my head
Plant my feet
Stay next to me
In time for our meet
Say it loud
But never in doubt
Clear my head
With what I said
The tiny lights
Shining between my eyes
Keep it steady
But wait for me
Will soon be ready

Splash, splash
were the footsteps
coming from behind 
crushing the safest of minds
Like mine 
never in decline
turned to see what  was there
silent whisper and  a tear
stopped to say hello
who was sitting below 
all bound from head to toe
change this state of affair
with what I declare
A strong arm
lots of charm
before you know it

It will soon be over.
Not giving way to posers.
Stay abreast of the rest.
With this one I will digest.

Lighter still.

Tried my hard.
Amend the start.
